Tooth Whitening

We want you to feel good about your smile and for some of our patients, that “good feeling” doesn’t come until their teeth are white. Coffee stains and predisposed yellow or gray teeth can be difficult to fix through simple brushing alone.

A tooth whitening treatment with our Glendale dentists can bring out the best in your smile. At your next regular dental cleaning and exam, feel free to ask your Dental Solutions dentist about tooth whitening treatments.

tooth-whiteningWhat happens with tooth whitening?

Our Glendale dental patients will make two appointment sessions at our dental practice. At the first visit, our dentists will take impressions of the teeth. At the second visit, we will have a whitening tray prepared that fits the impressions of the teeth taken at the first visit.

Then the patient will wear the tray at home for several days for a specific period of time. Once the tooth whitening process has been completed, the teeth should remain white anywhere from 6 months to two years.

Following the tooth whitening treatment with serious home oral hygiene care can ensure that the treatment lasts longer.

Is tooth whitening permanent?

Unfortunately, tooth whitening is not permanent. The difference that you in color and shine see after your whitening treatment will not last.

However, it is possible to add touch-up sessions for tooth whitening and to implement oral hygiene practices that will prevent teeth from losing all of the whitening touches.
