Rinsing the mouth regularly with an oral cleaner is essential to good oral health. Swish an oral rinse product around your mouth for a minute or two, and then spit it out. This will dislodge tiny food particles. Regular flossing will get rid of anything that is stuck between teeth. Flossing should be done daily and is particularly beneficial after meals. If you don’t have access to floss, keep some dental picks handy so you can floss at work. Oral irrigation is a way to gently remove debris from teeth using water.

Eliminating Bacteria

Excess bacteria in the mouth can lead to tooth decay and gingivitis. Removing bacteria will help to eliminate future problems from occurring by keeping the mouth clean and free of germs. Bad breath can be a result of tooth decay or other dental problems. The tongue should also be brushed because it harbors many germs. Using a dental rinse with a germ-killing ingredient will help to eliminate germs in your mouth. By combining good brushing techniques with flossing and rinsing and regular dental visits, you’ll have an effective plan in place to combat dental decay and keep your mouth fresh and clean.
